Biographical Information

I graduated from Eastside High School right here in Greenville, and then I earned a math degree from Clemson University.  I have been married to Walter Russell for 41 years, and we have five children.  Walter is a Senior Process Engineer and works for Yates Engineering and Construction.  My oldest son, Matthew is a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. He is married to Megan, and they have one son, Bear, born in March 2018. Thomas is married to Julie. They are the parents of Wilson, Mercy, and Temperance. Thomas earned his Masters degree in Organ Performance from Yale University, and he and his family live in Columbia, SC, where Thomas is the organist at First Presbyterian Church. Seth graduated from the New England Conservatory in Boston with a Master's Degree in cello performance. In December 2019 Seth completed his DMA degree from the University of Texas and then married Chelsea Cox. They now live Greenville where Seth is the principal cellist with the Greenville Symphony Orchestra.  Faith is director of community engagement with Thorne Medical Transport.  She is married to Chase Raper and they have a daughter, Luna, and a son, Russell.  Ethan, our youngest, is persuing a career in copy writing. We are members of Second Presbyterian Church, and we love the Lord Jesus Christ and by His grace seek to serve and glorify Him. Ibegan teaching these math classes in 2007.  I hope that I can help make math seem less intimidating or perhaps even interesting and fun.
