August 23 will be here before you know it. I am sure that everyone is busy making final preparations for a new school year. Students in my math classes should bring the following to the first day of class:
Our schedule* is as follows:
Algebra 1 1:00-2:15 T, Th
Algebra 2 2:30-3:45 T, Th
Geometry 11:30-12:45 T, Th
*For the first couple of weeks of class, we will probably complete our work in about an hour, not an hour and 15 minutes. As the semester progresses, we will begin to use up the entire one hour and 15 minute class period. Students are allowed to "hang out" at my house as long as they need to. Some of you are on a tight schedule, and I wanted to give you a heads-up that the students may very well finish early in the first weeks of class.
I have uploaded syllabuses for each class on my website. Look in the File Drawer. Go ahead and print a copy.
When you arrive on the 23rd, there is no need to knock or ring the doorbell. Just come right in. A sign on the door will instruct you to do just that!
As always, if you have any questions, please contact me.
Finally, the sign in the picture below is right next to our mailbox near the street in front of our house. I hope this will help my new students know that they have found the right place.
I will see you on Tuesday, August 23!
